Position
We are hiring a London-based Post Production Technical Operator on a 12-month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will bring a flexible range of skills to our transatlantic post production operations, supporting teams and shows across offline services, finishing and technical areas.
- You will have a keen interest in the whole gamut of the post production process, touching every facet of the post pipeline.
- You will be keen to learn and train across a broad domain of tools and skills.
- You will provide a critical component of our transatlantic operation, providing the glue and continuity of service between our facilities.
- The role will operate on a late UK hours shift pattern to align with our LA operations. The standard hours will be 15:00-00:00 GMT, with contractual flexibility and a 2-hour option either side, with notice.
- Your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Providing Offline Services such as media management, ingest and grouping and syncing.
- Providing Finishing Support Services such as conforming, media management, online editorial change management and delivery.
- Supporting the technical teams to provide onboarding, induction and facilitating UK-based physical and system support.
- Running and maintaining live review sessions between UK and US facilities.
- Facilitating effective communication and change management for shows and teams as a bridge for the transatlantic collaboration – supported by the Post Management teams in both locations.
- Assisting in managing and maintaining our backup and media management services.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
You may have:
- A strong interest in the whole post production pipeline with experience and skills as an “all rounder” used to completing projects from start to finish.
- The capability and desire to train and learn to a very high standard across offline, finishing and technical areas to touch every aspect of our post production operation on high end shows.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to organise and sort information in an orderly and consistent manner in an often hectic and busy environment.
- A desire to work on a broad range of top tier content from Feature Films and TV series across Drama, Factual and Reality all the way through Branded Content and Direct to Consumer channels.
- A developed understanding and experience in post production across tool sets such as Avid, Davinci Resolve and Adobe CC.
- Strong experience in the Post Production industry either in a facility or as an established freelancer having worked in broadcast, network and streamer content.
