About The Role: We are looking for an In-House Talent Manager to join our team part-time, 3 days per week.
- Role: Talent Manager (Part-time, 3 days)
- Reports to: Director of HR
- Potential Start Date: ASAP
- Location: London, Islington
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the recruitment of all freelance Production and Editorial staff.
- Building and maintaining relationships with freelancers - finding out their availability and suitability for upcoming roles.
- Liaising with the Production Executive and Production Manager when a show has been commissioned to discuss staffing requirements.
- Drafting and posting job adverts for upcoming roles.
- Creating and maintaining the Talent Pool database of contacts and drawing from diverse talent pools.
- Working closely with our DE&I recruitment partners to source new talent (i.e. TriForce, Creative Access, BBC Elevate, Evenbreak, Talented People, Mama Youth Project, etc.)
- Work closely with HR on DE&I initiatives and talent schemes and generally be flexible to help out with what is required.
Skills and Experience:
- You must have a good understanding of how the TV & Film industry works and the pressures within a production environment.
- The role would suit someone who is already working in the industry as a PM or AP/Producer, and looking for a change in direction.
- Have good relationships with talent managers in other production companies and staff at all levels.
- Understands production roles, required skills, the different challenges of working in offices, studios, on location and in the edit.
- Is able to juggle recruitment for different programmes with different skill bases at various stages of production – all at the same time.
- The ideal candidate would be highly organised, able to work under pressure and can respond quickly and effectively to last minute, fast-turnaround recruitment deadlines.
- Has a passion for making the TV industry more diverse.
