The opportunity: We are embarking on our most significant Information Technology transformation. The Modern Information Programme will achieve strategic objectives by establishing a cohesive source of truth for information and collaboration needs across our Australasian businesses. The programme encompasses 5 pivotal projects, and as the Senior Project Manager you will deliver the Core infrastructure build and New Zealand Digital workspaces. You will lead collaborative cross-functional teams to ensure both the technical and change aspects are successfully managed.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Initiating, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closure of both projects, ensuring they are delivered within scope, on schedule, within budget, and to the expected quality standards.
  • Developing and implementing project delivery methodologies, and managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, including scope, schedule, quality, and budgets.
  • Managing risk/issues and escalation, tracking milestones and tasks, and ensuring benefits realisation.
  • Identifying and monitoring dependencies, opportunities, and constraints, and liaising with other internal and external projects.
  • Developing and monitoring project budgets.
  • Managing vendor relationships, delivery, spend, and resources.
  • Regularly reporting on the performance of the projects.
  • Supporting the Change Lead in designing and delivering change strategies and managing stakeholder relationships.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A PMP certification or relevant project management qualification.
  • 8+ years in the industry, preferably in large/complex organisations.
  • Proven experience delivering technical IT projects within a large enterprise, change projects at a senior level, and large migration projects.
  • Strong leadership and ability to influence across multiple organisational levels.
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile projects.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to manage resistance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder, team, and vendor engagement.
  • Preferred candidates will have experience in projects where SharePoint, AvePoint or similar tools have been implemented.
