As a Change Communications Specialist on the Future Systems Programme, you will work closely with the Communications & Engagement Manager and Delivery Teams to deliver our transition communications to the business, bringing our major business change programme to life by engaging stakeholders in meaningful ways, and enhancing the value of the programme outcomes. You’ll provide structured, clear information to our stakeholders, and make it easy to understand the Future Systems Programme and the change it will bring to the business. This is a fixed-term role until July 2026, based in Burnside, Christchurch.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Prepare communication plans to engage the business, customers and suppliers at each delivery stage of the Programme.
  • Update the delivery communications & engagement plans to reflect business requirements, and work with delivery teams to deploy plans across key stakeholder groups.
  • Measure communication and engagement effectiveness against established criteria.
  • Identify, quantify, and prioritise opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with people across the Programme to create and adapt engaging content to use across different communications channels and media.
  • Support change leadership within the business.
  • Track and monitor activity, including regular preparation and distribution of reporting, and escalating issues and risks where appropriate.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience in change management communications, including creation and implementation of communication plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Ideally, experience working in major change programmes in large and complex organisations.
  • High level user of Microsoft suite and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ideally, you will have experience working on large scale change programmes.
