The predicted salary is between 18 - 18 Β£ per hour.

Location: Essex, SS8 0SF Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

Overtime: Paid at 1β…“ x Monday to Friday and 1Β½ x on Saturdays.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to join our skilled engineering team at our Essex facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for a machinist looking for a secure, long-term position with a well-established company, offering regular overtime.

The Role

As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality engineered components used within the railway industry.

Working from engineering drawings, you will manufacture parts using a range of manual & cnc mills / while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Operate manual milling machines and manual lathes.
  • Manufacture bespoke components to provided tolerances.
  • Carry out general engineering and machining.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Experience operating Manual Milling Machines.
  • Experience using Manual Lathes.
  • A strong background in manual machining and general engineering.
  • The ability to accurately read engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
  • A reliable and positive approach to work.
