Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to join our skilled engineering team at our Essex facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for a machinist looking for a secure, long-term position with a well-established company, offering regular overtime.
The Role
As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality engineered components used within the railway industry.
Working from engineering drawings, you will manufacture parts using a range of manual & cnc mills / while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Operate manual milling machines and manual lathes.
- Manufacture bespoke components to provided tolerances.
- Carry out general engineering and machining.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Experience operating Manual Milling Machines.
- Experience using Manual Lathes.
- A strong background in manual machining and general engineering.
- The ability to accurately read engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
- A reliable and positive approach to work.
