About Glenapp Castle:
Join our award-winning team at Glenapp Castle, featured on BBC Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby, with a Michelin Key and renowned for our 3 AA Rosette restaurant and Relais & Châteaux affiliation. We are looking for a passionate full-time Sous Chef.
Key Responsibilities:
- Controlling and directing the food preparation process.
- Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the customer.
- Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels.
- Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality.
- Determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering.
- Responsibility to assist the Executive Chef in ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Excellent knowledge of all sections.
- Ability to produce excellent high-quality food.
- Good oral communication.
- Team management skills and team player qualities.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes.
- Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work.
- Positive and approachable manner.
- Candidates with previous experience in a similar role within a 3 AA Rosette or 5-star establishment are preferred.
