The HR Booth are delighted to be recruiting a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager, on behalf of Forbes of Kingennie.
Who are Forbes of Kingennie?
Forbes of Kingennie Resort offers a wide range of experiences for visitors of all ages, whether they’re seeking relaxation or an activity-filled holiday in Scotland. We are ideally located at the geographical centre of Scotland, in Angus near Dundee and Tayside, providing access to an extraordinary variety of stunning scenery. Each year, we host over a hundred weddings in our spacious function area and have been expanding our corporate services. Our Scullery Restaurant and Cairn N Mount bar serve an average of 1,500 meals each week. As a growing business, Forbes of Kingennie has exciting investment plans for the future, and the successful candidate will play a significant role in these developments.
What will you be doing?
- Motivating, inspiring, and managing the kitchen team to produce food to the highest standard and in line with food safety.
- Working in the production of food, ensuring within budget, and identifying new dishes to attract customers.
- Overall responsibility for managing all aspects of the kitchen environment.
- Managing the workflow and operations of the kitchen including food preparation and delegation of tasks to prep cooks and other kitchen staff.
- Working closely with suppliers to ensure best produce and price is delivered.
- Ensuring stocks are managed correctly, and food waste is kept to a minimum.
