Lakeside Hotel & Spa on the Southern shores of Windermere (1 mile from Newby Bridge) is owned by Classic Lodges. We have 73 luxury bedrooms, fine dining restaurant, brasserie, pool, spa and conference suite ‘overlooking nothing but the lake’

We have a friendly team and are always looking for positive and enthusiastic individuals to come on board. Lakeside Hotel are currently recruiting for the position of Chef de Partie.

Responsibilities & Skills

  • Have good organisational skills and comfortable working in a high-level pressured environment.
  • Follow and manage all HACCAP procedures with the kitchen management team.
  • All orders are checked and accounted for freshness and quality.
  • Ensure the training and standards are always kept.
  • Ensure the staffing levels are kept to the correct business levels.
  • Run an organised efficient clean section.
  • Ensure the highest levels of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
  • Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production, presentation standards.
  • To uphold the team SOP’s given to you.
  • Help to development of our kitchen garden, and growing cycles.
  • Support other team members across the kitchen.
  • Have a keen eye for detail.
  • Committed and hungry to progress and grow your skills.
  • Having a rosette background will be advantageous.

You will be an enthusiastic individual, passionate about your craftsmanship of producing excellent food, with at least a minimum of 2 years’ experience.

Attention to detail is a must, with the ability to work in a calm and professional manner whilst running your own kitchen section. You will be flexible in your approach with a willingness to learn new techniques and the ability to work on your own as well as being a true team player.
