We are looking for a talented Chef de Partie to join our friendly kitchen team at No.4 Clifton Village. The successful candidate will be involved in our seasonal à la carte menu, private dining, weddings, afternoon teas and much more! We can accommodate an ASAP start, but are equally happy to wait for people to work notice elsewhere.

No.4 Clifton Village is a charming independent restaurant in the heart of Clifton village, Bristol. Located in a beautiful Georgian Mansion house, this unique and versatile seasonal kitchen offers à la carte and private dining, boutique weddings, luxurious afternoon teas and small, bespoke, conferences.

Key information for the Chef de Partie role:

  • Hours: Full time – 40-45 hours per week, on a rota basis to include evenings and weekends.
  • Pay: £12.80 per hour plus approx. £1,500 per annum service charge (paid monthly).

A typical week: At No.4 you will be part of a close team who work hard to get the job done but have fun at the same time! No.4 is a versatile venue – with events, weddings, afternoon teas and the à la carte menu all being a feature of any given week.

The ideal candidate will have a real flair for cooking, a sense of fun, a winning personality and a strong work ethic. As Chef de Partie you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in running the kitchen. There are also great opportunities for you to be involved in menu development by giving menu input on a regular basis, including special event menus. We’re looking for a great ‘all rounder’, confident in all areas – some experience in a seasonal, high quality kitchen with fresh ingredients would be a plus!

This would be a great opportunity for an existing Chef de Partie who is looking to build upon previous experience and knowledge in a thriving and successful restaurant or for a confident Commis chef or Demi Chef de Partie looking to take a step up in their career. You will be joining a passionate and highly skilled team and so will be a great opportunity to learn quickly and develop your skills!

What you’ll be doing as Chef de Partie:

  • Preparing and cooking fresh, seasonal food for our à la carte and private event menus
  • Supporting more junior chefs
  • Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy during your shift
  • Acting as a good team player
