An opportunity has arisen for a People Relations Advisor to join the People Relations Team at our head office in Kew Bridge - we call it our Support Centre. This role will be 60/40 between Employee Relations and administrative/reporting/generalist tasks, and we need someone who will thrive in a busy and changing environment. Reporting into the People Relations Manager, you will provide the legal advice, support and guidance on all things people. You will be involved in people system administration and reporting, reward, employee relations and generally will help deliver against the team's processes.

The successful candidate will have outstanding customer service, knowledge of employment law and associated policies, strong interpersonal skills, great with IT, data and reporting and be a fantastic team player who isn't afraid to challenge the status quo.

The Role Responsibilities

  • Provide legally compliant ER advice, in line with company values and organisation requirements
  • Write and deliver short ER-focussed training sessions for management population
  • Input and produce people policies as part of an ongoing policy review
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure that the People Team are delivering a strong employee experience and that our company values are embedded in everything we do
  • Respond to internal queries and actions, providing professional and confidential HR advice, support and administration across the full range of HR activity; including employee relations issues, terms and conditions of service, policies and procedures
  • Deliver ad hoc projects including TUPE, transformational change and employer brand
  • Assist in all matters pertaining to Family Friendly matters (Maternity, Paternity etc), Flexible Working Requests, Managing Absence and Occupational Health referrals
  • Support the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to departure
  • Work with the team to ensure our HRIS is up to date and maintain employee files
  • Deliver People calendar events into the business ensuring robustness and consistency e.g. Pay review, annual appraisals, Long Service Awards etc.
  • Where applicable, work on the People element of business wide transformation projects

Qualifications

They will be confident to work autonomously, driven to make a difference and comfortable with accountability. Core to their success will be their ability to gain the trust and confidence through legal and pragmatic coaching, communications and training, building on a fair, reasonable and consistent culture that is in line with the company's values and heritage. Instant credibility and industry knowledge are essential, as are strong operational, employee relations and IT skills. The successful individual will be equally as comfortable presenting to their seniors as they are talking to their team. Critically this individual must be able to deliver results while embracing Fuller's values. A positive, collaborative approach is a must.

Whilst the role is based at the Support Centre in Chiswick the role allows for some home working and requires occasional site visits, so you must be willing to travel around the estate as required.
