Are you a finance professional who enjoys making things run smoothly, spotting the detail others miss and helping a business succeed behind the scenes? Fullers Family Law, an Investors in People Gold Award firm, is seeking a Finance Officer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with our Head of Finance, supporting the day-to-day running of the firm’s finance function.

This is a full-time role, reporting to the Head of Finance, covering our Milton Keynes and Bedford office. This role is initially offered on a fixed-term contract of six months to support the business during a period of operational change and system implementation. At the end of the fixed-term period, the ongoing business requirement for the role will be reviewed. Should a continuing need for the role exist, there may be an opportunity for the position to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing of client payments and refunds
  • WIP, debt and revenue reporting
  • Cashflow monitoring and reconciliations
  • Billing and finance administration support
  • Supporting colleagues with finance queries
  • Contributing to process improvements and business performance reporting

What Are We Looking For?

Essential

  • Experience working in a finance or accounting role.
  • Strong Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables and reporting tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work across both operational finance activities and financial reporting.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to our WE CARE values.

Desirable

  • AAT qualified or studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or a similar accounting qualification.
  • Experience supporting management reporting or management accounts preparation.
  • Experience of WIP reporting, billing or time-based revenue models.
  • Experience working within a professional services environment.
  • Awareness of SRA Accounts Rules or experience working with client money.
  • Strong IT skills and experience working within a paperless environment.
