Are you a finance professional who enjoys making things run smoothly, spotting the detail others miss and helping a business succeed behind the scenes? Fullers Family Law, an Investors in People Gold Award firm, is seeking a Finance Officer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with our Head of Finance, supporting the day to day running of the firm’s finance function. This is a full-time role, reporting to the Head of Finance, covering our Milton Keynes and Bedford office. This role is initially offered on a fixed-term contract of six months to support the business during a period of operational change and system implementation. At the end of the fixed-term period, the ongoing business requirement for the role will be reviewed. Should a continuing need for the role exist, there may be an opportunity for the position to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:
As our Finance Officer, you’ll play a key part in keeping the firm’s day-to-day financial operations running smoothly. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will help produce and distribute the regular finance reports the firm relies on and keep daily finance processes running accurately. You will also play a key role in helping improve processes and supporting an exciting period of operational change. Your responsibilities will include:
- Daily processing of client payments and refunds
- WIP, debt and revenue reporting
- Cashflow monitoring and reconciliations
- Billing and finance administration support
- Supporting colleagues with finance queries
- Contributing to process improvements and business performance reporting
What Are We Looking For?
Essential
- Experience working in a finance or accounting role.
- Strong Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables and reporting tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work across both operational finance activities and financial reporting.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to our WE CARE values.
Desirable
- AAT qualified or studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or a similar accounting qualification.
- Experience supporting management reporting or management accounts preparation.
- Experience of WIP reporting, billing or time-based revenue models.
- Experience working within a professional services environment.
- Awareness of SRA Accounts Rules or experience working with client money.
- Strong IT skills and experience working within a paperless environment.
