About the role

We are seeking a Production Planner to manage end-to-end work orders, RMAs, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination to ensure timely, efficient service delivery. The role supports continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and compliance with quality, cost, and safety standards.

Your Responsibilities
  • Initiates RMA numbers for all incoming rebuild orders.
  • Reviews MPS (action) reports and initiates and schedules work orders to support sales order ship dates; initiates timely changes and closing of work orders; and tracks status of work orders.
  • Creates and utilizes operations metrics to continuously improve process.
  • Reviews longer-term team and/or machine capacities and seeks to balance workloads and expedite operations that could cause schedule delays and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Provides administrative support to Service department staff as needed.
  • Co-ordinate with Service Center when the parts come in to begin the process of building the product and closing out work orders.
  • Handle customer requests for service repairs, freight charges, shipment sizes, and parts availability.
  • Continuously look for efficiency opportunities to automate manual processes, leading to cost reductions and increased performance outcomes.
  • Follow up on past due open purchase orders.
  • Issue enquiries to external vendors and ensures timely receipt of offers.
  • Maintain complete and orderly contract files, keep customers and sales teams aware of contract progress or significant contract events.
  • Monitors progress of engineering and related documentation and reacts to any delays whether internal or external.
  • Reports any deviation or risk to quality, time and cost to the project management.
  • Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities.
What You Bring
  • Experience in a workshop environment.
  • College degree/relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, strong time management skills.
  • Ability to establish good connections with a broad range of people and a team player.
  • Individual should possess a sense of urgency, be proactive, customer-driven, and motivated.
  • Knowledgeable of various parts and assemblies by part number and physical appearance.
  • Knowledge of Oracle/Microsoft Dynamics 365. ERP-based applications (training will be provided).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Perseverance and an ability to prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines.
