This is an on-site contract role for a Passionate Sports Coach based in Liverpool. The coach will lead fun, safe, and engaging sports and fitness sessions for children, young people, and/or adults, depending on program needs. Day-to-day tasks include planning and delivering structured sessions, demonstrating proper techniques, and adapting activities to suit varying abilities. The role involves monitoring participant progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a positive, encouraging atmosphere. The coach will also be responsible for basic administrative tasks such as attendance tracking, equipment setup and care, and clear communication with colleagues, schools, and families where relevant. Flexibility to work during school hours, after-school periods, and occasional weekends may be required.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Physical Education and Sports Training, with the ability to design age-appropriate, safe, and effective activity sessions.
- Proven experience in Coaching and Sports Coaching, preferably working with groups in school, club, or community settings.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to motivate, instruct clearly, and build rapport with participants, families, and partners.
- Relevant coaching or fitness certifications (e.g., national coaching awards, PE or sports-related qualifications) are highly desirable.
- Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusive coaching practices; willingness to undergo background checks as required.
- Positive, energetic attitude, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
- Experience working with children or young people and first aid training are beneficial.
