About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to design, build and evolve the cloud platform that powers Full Health Medical.
This is a senior, hands-on engineering role responsible for the infrastructure, tooling and automation that enables our engineering teams to deliver software quickly, safely and reliably. You’ll work across AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps and observability technologies to build a highly scalable and resilient platform that supports our multi-tenant SaaS products.
You’ll partner closely with software engineers to improve deployment workflows, developer experience and platform capabilities while ensuring our infrastructure remains secure, reliable and operationally efficient.
We’re looking for someone with an automation-first mindset who believes infrastructure should be treated as software. Manual processes should be eliminated wherever possible, environments should be reproducible, and operational excellence should be engineered into the platform from the outset.
This is not an operations management role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building platforms, solving complex technical challenges and writing code to automate infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and operate secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Own and continuously evolve our Kubernetes platform, ensuring reliability, resilience and operational excellence.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and drive an automation-first approach across the platform.
- Design and maintain GitOps deployment workflows and CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD and modern DevOps practices.
- Develop reusable platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and enable self-service infrastructure.
- Implement and enhance monitoring, observability and alerting to ensure platform health and rapid incident response.
- Optimise cloud infrastructure for performance, security, scalability and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers to improve deployment processes, developer experience and platformcapabilities.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes and distributed systems.
- Contribute to the technical direction of the platform through hands-on engineering, continuous improvement and the adoption of engineering best practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
Cloud & Platform Engineering
- Extensive commercial experience designing, building and operating production workloads on AWS.
- Strong experience building and administering Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
- Experience operating and scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems and platform engineering principles.
- Experience designing highly available, resilient and fault-tolerant systems.
Infrastructure & Automation
- Expert knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong automation mindset with a passion for eliminating manual operational processes.
- Experience designing reusable infrastructure modules and automated provisioning workflows.
- Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python or similar languages.
- Experience managing infrastructure through Git-based workflows.
Deployment & Developer Platform
- Strong experience implementing GitOps using ArgoCD or similar technologies.
- Experience building and maintaining modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience deploying and managing containerised applications using Kubernetes.
- Good understanding of deployment strategies, release engineering and platform lifecycle management.
Observability & Reliability
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability platforms such as New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus or similar.
- Strong understanding of logging, metrics, tracing and alerting.
- Experience troubleshooting complex production environments and distributed systems.
- Experience improving platform reliability through automation and operational excellence.
Security
- Strong understanding of AWS security services and cloud security best practices.
- Experience implementing IAM, secrets management and least-privilege access controls.
- Understanding of Kubernetes security and secure software delivery practices.
Ways of Working
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working across multiple technology stacks and collaborating closely with software engineering teams.
- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools.
