- You’ll Be Responsible For
- Safely removing and replacing major wind turbine components gearboxes, generators, main bearings, and rotor blades.
- Taking part in complex rigging and heavy-lifting operations, working closely with crane operators and site supervisors.
- Carrying out detailed inspections and reporting before and after each exchange to ensure turbines are ready to harness the wind efficiently.
- Collaborating with OEM technical advisors and wind farm operators to deliver projects safely and on time.
- Keeping meticulous records because every turbine tells a story, and accurate documentation keeps that story running smoothly.
- Traveling to wind farms across the UK, sometimes for extended stays or rotational projects.

We’re Seeking Someone Who Thrives In a Hands-on, Outdoor Environment Where Every Day Brings a New Challenge and Every Job Contributes To a Greener Planet
- At least 2 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance, with a focus on major component exchanges.
- A strong mechanical or electrical background, backed by qualifications such as NVQ, HNC, or similar.
- GWO Basic Safety Training (Working at Heights, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness).
- A valid medical fitness certificate because working at heights in the elements takes strength and focus.
- Confidence working in challenging weather conditions and at heights.
- A full driving license and the flexibility to travel to remote wind farm sites.
- A team-first mindset, excellent communication skills, and a drive to problem-solve under pressure.
- Soft Skills For The Win(d)
- OEM-specific training (Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, GE, Nordex, Enercon, Senvion, or EWT).
- Expertise in hydraulics, torque and tensioning tools, or borescope inspections.
- Experience with technical lift plans, rigging diagrams, or engineering schematics.
- A background in wind turbine installation or commissioning.
