We are seeking experienced Wind Turbine Technicians to work on Vestas platforms in the UK. The role focuses on enhancing our expertise in Vestas turbine maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring turbines operate at peak performance. The technician will work hands-on on turbines, address mechanical and electrical problems, and collaborate with remote support teams to analyse data and improve operations. Mentor fellow technicians and contribute to continuous skill development.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance Vestas platform expertise and guide the team through specific maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
- Operate turbines hands-on, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Collaborate with remote support to analyse data, identify improvement areas, and optimize turbine performance.
- Mentor and train teammates on wind turbine-specific issues.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Electrical/Mechanical qualification or equivalent experience in the wind industry.
- Strong wind turbine troubleshooting experience.
- Experience resolving issues identified during walk-downs.
- Comfortable with travel to multiple sites as needed.
- Full UK driver’s licence and ability to travel internationally.
- Physically fit and able to work at heights.
- Willingness to participate in a weekend on-call rota.
