Our Aberdeen office is seeking a Commercial Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing commercial strategies across key global territories. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you’ll collaborate with regional managers and cross-functional teams to ensure commercial integrity, compliance, and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head of Commercial and step in during absences.
- Manage regional bidding and tendering processes, including risk management and stakeholder coordination.
- Oversee contract renewals and maintain the Contract Register.
- Govern RFQs, proposals, and agency relationships to ensure strategic alignment.
- Support global AVL processes and manage global subscriptions for cost efficiency and compliance.
- Mentor and guide the Commercial Analyst and Specialist.
- Assist the Sales Team with business development and client engagement.
- Ensure insurance coverage meets client requirements.
- Commercial awareness and industry experience in Energy (Oil & Gas, Renewables).
- Strong time management and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to manage pressure and responsibility.
- Proficiency in MS Office and understanding of technical documentation.
- 5+ years’ experience in a commercial leadership role.
- Highly experienced in:
- Bidding and Tendering processes
- Contract management and negotiations
- Supplier Registration, AVL, and memberships
- Insurance management and compliance
- Oversight of Request for Quotations (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs)
- Knowledge of:
- QHSE/IMS processes
- Strategic supervision and operational guidance with stakeholders
- Coordination with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Compliance, etc.)
