We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Residential and Compliance team within our dynamic and driven construction consultancy, working within our Residential team to support project delivery of large scale remediation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing construction projects through various stages of the project lifecycle. You will be working collaboratively with a varied team of construction professionals and stakeholders to allow projects to be delivered safely on time, and to budget whilst ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. Work on a hybrid basis from our London office and enjoy getting immersed in a busy construction site.

  • Manage projects of varied size and complexity, undertaking the day‑to‑day project activities of a Project Manager.
  • Support in identifying the project Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
  • Produce and undertake project governance.
  • Support in producing the procurement strategy report with the client and quantity surveyors.
  • Negotiate with contractors to establish budgets and programmes.
  • Manage and support the project team on snagging inspections.
  • Maintain and support good client working relationships acting as the main point of contact for queries, as necessary.
  • Undertake reviews of lessons learnt, implementing changes for future improvements.
  • Ensure internal systems are kept updated e.g. finance and resource trackers and timely sign off of invoices.
  • Internal governance such as reviews of flash reports and senior signatories on approved documents.
  • Work collaboratively with other consultants.
  • Observe Health & Safety provision in the working environment and CDM 2015 regulations including escalating any HSE issues.
  • Endeavour to improve our social and environmental impact.

Requirements

  • Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership.
  • Relevant experience working within the construction industry as a Project Manager.
  • Ability to deliver a medium to large size project with minor support from senior staff.
  • Excellent technical knowledge in all areas of project management.
  • A client‑centric outlook with a focus on the delivery of targets, quality and deadlines, meeting client objectives cost effectively.
  • Ability to hold own in discussions and meetings with contractors and senior clients and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to delegate tasks to assistants and support them on project activities.
