We deliver exceptional consultancy services, champion sustainability and most importantly, empower and prioritise our people. As a proud B Corp, we’re committed to high standards of social and environmental performance and making the journey smooth and successful for our clients. We’re big enough to lead complex, high‑profile projects, yet small enough to genuinely support and care for our employees – our “Fulkers people”.

What does the role involve? As an H&S / CDM Consultant, you will provide our clients with comprehensive advice on all aspects of the H&S and CDM Regulations. You will also provide a structured platform in which to undertake effective design risk management whilst fulfilling the Principal Designer duties on their projects, from feasibility through to handover of the Health and Safety File.

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the pre‑construction phase of projects, including submission of F10 notifications to the HSE

  • Ensure design team compliance with CDM 2015, reviewing and assisting with Design Risk Assessments
  • Prepare and review key project health and safety documentation, including pre‑construction information, risk assessments, method statements and Health & Safety Files
  • Conduct CDM site audits and monitor health and safety performance on behalf of the client
  • Attend design, site and progress meetings to support effective communication between contractors, designers and clients
  • Provide support to Senior Consultants on complex or high‑risk projects
  • Review O&M manuals and ensure accurate and compliant handover documentation
  • Uphold health and safety standards and support environmental and social impact
  • Carry out additional duties in line with the role as required

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of CDM 2015 implementation
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
  • Experience of using a wide range of tools and processes within your role; from simple and effective risk registers to sophisticated risk modelling software
  • Experience in providing and translating to our clients, the best advice to help develop risk responses and plans to eliminate the risks on their projects or within their existing facilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as the role is client facing
  • Ability to produce your own documentation based on our standards
  • Strong organisational and time management skills in the delivery of the services for multiple projects at any one time

Benefits

  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), plus an extra paid day off for your birthday and Christmas shutdown
  • Option to buy or carry over up to 5 additional holiday days annually
  • Private health cover from day one
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity leave
  • Charitable volunteer day
  • Agile working policy
  • Annual discretionary bonus and salary review
