Fulham FC Foundation are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed person to take up the position of Primary Education Officer. Reporting directly to our School Sport Manager, the Primary Education Officer is responsible for orchestrating and delivering top-tier primary school-based initiatives throughout our boroughs of work. This role’s key responsibilities encompass, but are not confined to:
- Overseeing our Premier League Primary Stars programme
- Delivering targeted interventions
- Supporting teachers in PE lessons
- Coordinating local school events
- Delivering anti-discrimination workshops to support national initiatives such as Black History Month and the Rainbow Laces campaign
This is a 40 hour a week role where flexibility is essential, as the role necessitates involvement in supporting the delivery of programme activities as and when required. Generally, the hours will be as follows, but there will be occasions when evening and weekend work is required:
- Mondays: 08:30 – 17:00
- Tuesdays: 08:30 – 17:00
- Thursdays: 08:30 – 17:00
- Fridays: 08:30 – 17:00

Job requirements:
- Experience: Experience coordinating or managing a project to an excellent standard. Experience in working with Primary School children in a curriculum setting.
- Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications: UEFA C Licence/FA Level 2 coaching qualification (or willingness to complete if you come from a teaching background). Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
- Personal Qualities: Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people (pupils, coaches, teachers, senior school staff) in small or large groups. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to use own initiative and work independently managing personal workloads effectively. Ability to work as part of a wider Foundation team, supporting organisational objectives. Professional and methodical approach to tasks. Committed and motivated by the purpose of the Foundation. An outstanding and proven work ethic. Car driver or able to travel independently.
Preferred:
- Experience: Experience coordinating or delivering the PL Primary Stars programme. Experience leading PE lessons in Primary Schools. Working as a teacher, HLTA or teaching assistant in a Primary School. Working with or mentoring young people who may be facing challenges at home/in school.
- Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications: Teaching or Sports based degree. Level 3 Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education and School Sport, or equivalent. HLTA qualification or equivalent. Working knowledge of the KS1/KS2 PE National Curriculum. Level 2 or 3 Certificate or Diploma in Youth Work Practice.
Job Responsibilities:
- Programme Implementation: Coordinate, develop and deliver across our Premier League Primary Stars programme. Attend national and regional meetings with the network as and when required.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders such as local schools and the school sports partnerships to enhance participation.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure that programme activities are aligned with the Foundation's strategic aims and objectives, contributing to broader organisational goals.
- Event Coordination: Organise events, tournaments, and activities to promote community engagement and foster a sense of belonging among participants.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement monitoring and evaluation processes to assess the effectiveness and impact of programme delivery, and use findings to inform future planning and decision-making. Contribute towards the mid-year and end-of-year reports to the Premier League Charitable Fund on an annual basis.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports to Primary Education Manager on programme outcomes, challenges, and opportunities, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Health & Safety: Ensure safeguarding and risk management are being adhered to across all activities.
- Other community-based delivery: Supervise holiday activities during school holiday periods.
