The Fulham Boys School is seeking an engaging and dynamic Economics teacher to join a growing department.
Economics has become one of our most popular and consistently successful A level subjects with two classes in both year 12 and year 13. The enterprising character of our young men means they are intrigued and excited by the world of economics and relish having opportunities to bring their learning to life through seeing relevance in the real business world.
Economics results in 2026 saw 57% of the students achieve a grade A or above, up from an already impressive 42% in 2025. The school was proud to see students accepted at Durham, Exeter, Nottingham and Bristol to study Economics, as well as the prestigious Bucconi University in Milan. The department also performed strongly in Business Studies at both A-level and GCSE, as well as in the Business BTEC that we have introduced at KS5. It is likely that the successful candidate will contribute to our Business provision as well as Economics as these subjects continue to thrive.
The Fulham Boys School, located in the heart of Fulham, is a highly successful and oversubscribed school with an excellent reputation in the local community. In 2024 the school sat in the top 2% nationally for progress at GCSE and has matched this with even more impressive attainment in 2025 and 2026. Having achieved 95% passes in English & Maths in 2025, the school is not only top of the borough for these core subjects but also the top state non-selective boys school in the country. More value is added through our thriving Sixth Form, with 25% of our boys achieving at least AAB in 2026, completing a seven-year journey of academic excellence for our boys.
We offer all of our students an extended school day with all of our boys in school until 4:10pm Monday to Thursday and 2:45pm on Fridays. During this time, our extensive co-curricular offer enables students to take on a new sport and find their passion outside of the classroom. We want our students to leave FBS equipped for the workplace and life beyond.
