Fulcrum Recruitment is working with a well-established and rapidly growing civil engineering and highways contractor that is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support its North East commercial team. This is a permanent opportunity with a contractor delivering technology-led infrastructure works for highways, local authority and framework clients across the UK.
The work typically includes:
- Street lighting
- Traffic signs
- Electronic message signs
- Traffic signals
- EV charging infrastructure
- Fibre and broadband networks
- Low-voltage connections
- Highways civils and associated infrastructure works
The North East team supports a busy programme of projects across multiple client and framework regions, including longer-term schemes and a high volume of smaller reactive and maintenance works.

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with an experienced Quantity Surveyor, supporting the commercial administration and cost control of live projects across highways, lighting and technology infrastructure.
