The Role
An exciting opportunity to work hand in hand with the management accountant delivering services to a facilities management company in the group. This role is for someone looking to take ownership of all aspects of the processing and administration within the accounts function and providing ad hoc support to the management accountant. The key to success will be a strong ability to work collaboratively in a developing team environment, building on existing systems and processes, and taking full accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing purchase orders (POs).
- Processing purchase invoices.
- Raising sales invoices and ensuring onward billing of variations.
- Assisting with the monthly payroll run.
- Assisting the financial controller with reporting.
About you
Ideally you have completed AAT level 3 or 4 (desirable but not essential) and are proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Bookkeeping and/or VAT/CIS legislation experience is desirable. You will have spent at least 2 years in a similar accounts or finance assistant role within a fast‑paced operational business. Experience within an FM company or similar is desirable but not essential. You have worked in an independent role with the ability to be self‑motivated and disciplined. Communication with stakeholders is key; you must have experience managing relationships internally and externally with suppliers and contractors.
