Responsibilities
- Welders will have to complete a coded weld test before starting work.
- Fabrication of large bore 24 - 48 inch carbon pipework, plus other 6 - 8 inch & 10 - 12 inch pipework.
- Setting up pipe butts & flanges for welding.
- Pipework welded to coded specs with MIG FCAW & TIG or MMA.
- Workers able to weld with all welding types ideally.
- Weld procedures will be TIG root & hot pass & MIG FCAW or MMA fill & cap mainly.
- Gas pipework fabrication fitting and welding, then completing pipe tests.
- Completing checks & pipework tests.
Qualifications
- Qualifications Required: C & G or NVQ in Welding or Pipe Fitting or Plating.
- CCNSG Safety Passport or EMSS Safety Passport.
- Previous experience of working on large bore pipework on petrochem & power station projects.
Hours of Work
- 0700 to 1700 or to 1900 Mon to Fri.
- Sat 0700 - 1530 & Sun if required.
Contract Details
- Term Work: 18 to 26 weeks plus other phase of work to be confirmed, could be a lot longer subject to attendance, performance & workload.
Pay
- Skilled: £26 + £2 per hr retention bonus Mon to Fri.
- £33 per hr Sat & £36 per hr Sun.
Benefits & Travel
- Further work could be available if prepared to travel and ideally prepared to lodge away with hotel & meal paid for by Company, if required for 3 to 5 nights per week if sites are not in local areas.
