We are currently recruiting personnel at all levels working in areas such as Histon, Cambridge, Duxford, Huntingdon, March, Wisbech, Kings Lynn, and Peterborough who are qualified/skilled/experienced as:
- Installation & Maintenance Shutdown Work
- Skilled Mechanical & Electrical Fitters
- Semi Skilled Fitters & Mates
Working with Skilled Mechanical Engineers/Technicians/Fitters or Mechanical Fitters/Welders. Responsibilities include:
- Installing or maintaining production machinery & plant.
- Fitting mechanical systems such as gear boxes, shafts, belts, conveyors & machinery.
- Fitting mechanical & pipe work systems.
- Electrical Fitters working on the maintenance & installation of production machinery & plant.
- Fitting cable tray, cables, wiring up etc.
Ideally, candidates should have 17th or 18th Edition qualifications for Electricians & Improvers/Mates, and experience in industrial electrical installation, including:
- Installation of electrical lighting, production machinery & plant.
- Erecting & fitting cable tray, cables, wiring up machinery, plant, lighting etc.
Qualifications required depend on skills, experience & roles, including C & G or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical/Pipe Fitting, Welding, or Electrical Engineering with 18th Edition. Skill Cards ideally include CSCS or ECS Card, and IPAF Card.
Working Hours: 0700 to 1730, Monday to Friday, plus weekends as required, normally every other weekend unless on shutdown work.
Term Work: 2 to 8 weeks + contract roles or some permanent roles.
Pay Rates:
- Skilled Pay: £26+ per hour Monday to Friday, £30+ Saturday, £34+ Sunday, depending on skills & experience, plus extra pay for various shift patterns.
- Permanent Pay: £39,000 to £46,000+ p.a depending on role and shift pattern.
- Semi Skilled & Mate Pay: £16 to £18+ per hour depending on skills & experience.
