Fulcrum Engineering & Technical is acting as an Employment Business on behalf of our Clients. We are recruiting personnel at all levels for Sheet Metalwork & Welding Fabrication roles, depending on applicants’ skill sets & experience.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate from engineering drawings and weld angles, boxes, tubes to high-spec finish.
- Perform TIG welding on sheet metal (1.5–4 mm stainless or mild steel), mild steel angle, box; ideally also weld pipe & tube with TIG or MIG.
- Work on higher-spec fabrication such as tanks, vessels, conveyors, and welding supports & frames with TIG and MIG.
- Assist with installation work at factories or process plants when required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bers qualified to fabricate & weld with TIG as primary skill; some MIG experience preferred.
- Alternatively, welded with MIG as primary skill with some TIG.
- Ideally holds a C&G or NVQ in Welding Fabrication or Sheet Metalwork.
- Experience using tube bending machine, press brake, and other workshop machinery & tools.
Working Hours:
- Mon–Fri: 07:30–16:00 or 17:30; 40–48 or up to 55+ hours per week as required.
- Sat (if required): 06:00 or 07:00–13:30.
Contract Details:
- Temp contract 6–13 weeks, or Temp‑to‑Perm 13–26 weeks with a good chance of a permanent role after 13 or 26 full weeks.
- Direct permanent roles may be available for suitable candidates already working and giving notice.
Pay:
- Temp contract: £24+ per hour up to 60 hours.
- Saturday: £29+ per hour depending on skills/qualifications.
