Semi Skilled Mates IPAF Ops - Pipe Fitters Responsibilities include:
- Assisting Engineers & skilled trades on pipe systems.
- Working on ongoing project work, modifications, and urgent shutdown repair work, particularly small bore process pipework (15–50 mm).
- Connecting pipework to panels, valves, manifolds using general and PID engineering drawings; fitting screws, maypress, press‑fit, and small‑bore compression pipework.
- Completing checks and pipework tests.
- Executing industrial work in process plants and factories by installing mechanical systems on machinery and erecting fitting steelwork platforms on food factory sites.
- Operating IPAF scissor lift / cherry picker as required.
Potential for further work if prepared to travel, including lodging and meals paid by the company for 3–5 nights per week at sites that are not in local areas.
Working hours: 07:00–17:00 Mon–Fri, 07:00–15:30 Sat, Sun if required.
Term: initial 8–13 week contract, with further phases subject to attendance, performance and workload.
Pay: Semi‑skilled £19–£24+ per hour; Mates £17–£21+ per hour, depending on role, qualifications and skills.
Location: Ideally living 10–30 miles from main site; travel or lodging considered for those further away. Lodging and meals may be covered for workers living 60+ miles from site.
