Pipe Fitters & Pipe/Mechanical Fitters & Semi Skilled/Mates covering various types of work depending on skill set such as 2-6 inch main pipe line header pipework and pump & riser systems. Working on pipe systems. Ongoing project work & modifications and urgent shut-down repair work.
Responsibilities:
- Connecting pipework to panels, valves, and manifolds from engineering drawings.
- Fitting pipework—screw, maypress, press fit, and small-bore compression pipework.
- Completing checks and pipework tests.
- Installing mechanical systems on machinery and erecting fitting steel work platforms in process plants and factories.
Equipment and Site Requirements:
- Working from IPAF Scissor Lift/Cherry Picker.
Travel and Lodging:
Further work could be available if prepared to travel and ideally prepared to lodge away with hotel & meal paid for by the Company, if required for 3 to 5 nights per week when sites are not in local areas. Workers should ideally live 10-30 miles of the main site location. Workers further away or who need to lodge may be considered. Lodging (hotels & meals) may be paid if living 60+ miles from the site.
Hours and Term:
Hours of work: 07:00 to 17:00 Monday-Friday, 07:00-15:30 Saturday, and on Sunday if required. Term of work: 8-13 weeks plus additional phases that could be longer depending on attendance, performance, and workload.
Pay:
Skilled workers: £27+ per hour Monday-Friday, £34+ per hour Saturday, £38+ per hour Sunday. Semi-skilled workers: £17 to £20 per hour. Pay may vary depending on role and qualifications/skills.
