Fulcrum Engineering & Technical are acting as an Employment Business on behalf of our Clients. We are recruiting personnel in the Eye, Diss, Thetford areas, at all levels and covering similar Welding Fabrication roles depending on applicants' skill sets & experience.

Fabricator/Fitter Welders or Sheet Metal Fabricator Welders & Welder Fabs working on the fabrication from engineering drawings & welding angle, box, tube to high spec finish. Working mainly in the Fab Shop but might also have to work as required on installation work on sites. Also Welders TIG mainly working on welding sheet metal 1.5 - 4 mm stainless or mild steel, ali, mild steel angle, box, tube with TIG or MIG. Semi-skilled applicants can apply if they can cover most of the work depending on their skill set.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Able to fabricate & weld with TIG mainly & some MIG, or weld with MIG and some TIG
  • Ideally C & G or NVQ Welding Fabrication or Sheet Metalwork
  • Ideally able to use Tube Bending Machine & Press Brake & other Workshop Machinery & Tools

Hours, Term and Pay

  • Hours: 0700 – 1600 + O/T after 40 hours Mon to Fri, possible work 0600 – 1700 or 0700 - 1800 as required, also 0600 or 0700 to 1330 Sat as required
  • Term: Temp to Perm 3 weeks with good chance of perm role after 13 full weeks trial
  • Perm Pay: £17 to £18.50 + per hr PAYE basic 40 hrs O/T x 1.5 Pay = Depending on Quals, Skills, Experience levels
  • Temp to Perm Pay: £18 to £20 + per hr basic with overtime rates over 40 hours £24 to £27 + per hr & Sat Pay via payment company
