Mechanical Fitter Welders & Pipe Welders/Fitters covering various types of work depending on skill set.
Responsibilities:
- Connecting pipework to panels, valves, and manifolds from general & PID engineering drawings.
- Fitting screwed, maypress, and small bore compression pipework.
- Setting up for welding mainly with TIG.
- Completing checks & pipework tests.
- Industrial type work in process plants & factories installing mechanical systems on machinery & erecting fitting steel work platforms on food factory sites.
- Working from IPAF Scissor Lift / Cherry Picker.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Skill set in welding (TIG) and pipe fitting.
- Experience with general & PID engineering drawings.
- Ability to work from IPAF Scissor Lift/Cherry Picker.
- Available to travel and lodge away if required (3‑5 nights per week).
- Located within 10‑30 miles of main site or willing to travel longer.
Benefits:
- Hours: 07:00‑17:00 Mon‑Fri (possible to 19:00), Sat 07:00‑15:30, Sun if required.
- Term: 4‑8 weeks, possible extensions subject to attendance/performance.
- Pay: Skilled £27+ per hr Mon‑Fri, £33+ Sat, £38+ Sun. Semi‑skilled £17‑20 per hr.
- Hotel & meals paid if living 60+ miles from site.
