We are recruiting Trainee Youth Workers to join our team to work in residential settings. We are looking for flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals. The position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to service users with complex needs within a residential setting, aiming to create an environment that caters to a person's intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
You will be working with individuals placed into the care system for various reasons, with a range of disorders, behaviours, and needs. Therefore, we require individuals who have the confidence, patience, and skill set to work successfully with these individuals and make a positive impact on their lives. In this role, you will support young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping.
Please note that you will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully complete one of our induction programmes before any placements are offered. Main duties and responsibilities:- Build strong professional relationships with service users and staff.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for service users and staff.
- Keep all communication and information systems up to date.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings.
- Support service users in managing their behaviour using approved skills.
- Promote equality, acknowledging individual differences.
- Protect service users from any form of abuse by staff, visitors, or other service users.
- Write accurate reports for reviews and maintain written records for monitoring.
