We are seeking a highly skilled, energetic hands-on technologist to drive forward the role of UK Head of Artificial Intelligence within the UK Technology Group. In an era where data-driven decision-making and artificial intelligence are reshaping society and industries, ensuring our people, process, and technology are aligned to deliver value from this emerging technology is key to success, whilst staying compliant with broader industry standards and policy. As the head, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our UK organization and empowering our colleagues & clients to harness the full potential of their data and intelligence assets.
Your Role
Reporting into the UK&I Chief Digital Officer, the UK Head of Artificial Intelligence will ensure that both Fujitsu and our customers can correctly consume & generate business value from AI, whilst staying compliant with global Fujitsu & industry standards. As the Head, you will be entrusted with spearheading our efforts in harnessing the power of artificial intelligence whilst working with our global portfolio and partner ecosystems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Leadership: Establish the Centre of Responsible AI. Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with Fujitsu UK organizational goals, ensuring a competitive edge in the market. Align to Fujitsu global strategy, and develop a compelling value proposition for the UK Market.
- Solution Architecture: Design and implement robust, industry-aligned AI architectures, leveraging the latest ecosystem technologies to create scalable and efficient solutions whilst ensuring repeatability through industry blueprints and automation.
- Team Empowerment: Break down organizational silos, bring together our dispersed teams to ensure standardization and repeatability, whilst fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning, embodying the Fujitsu Way.
- Closing The Skills Gap: Work with Learning & Development to ensure colleagues and customers can close the skills gap through innovative upskilling programmes and enablement activities.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with sectors to understand their business challenges and provide strategic guidance on leveraging AI for measurable business impact.
- QA, Standards & Oversight: Establish and enforce best practices for AI governance & oversight, ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of all activities in line with European ethics and law.
- Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in AI, evaluating their applicability to enhance our solutions and services.
- GTM Creation (Consultancy + Product): Work with the Portfolio & Enablement Lead to create industry-relevant GTM propositions and advisory services that drive growth for Fujitsu Uvance and evolve our customers in today's digital economy. Ensure alignment with the strategic pivot program and support the delivery of our mid-term plan.
- Marketing & Analyst Relations: Act as a thought leader and storyteller, hosting and attending events to promote the Centre internally and externally at industry events.
Your Experience
- Understanding of the Data & AI landscape, challenges, and opportunities, including AWS and Microsoft ecosystems. Experience with Cohere, Mistral, Palantir is an advantage.
- Practical experience of applied AI against industry problems, specifically Machine Learning and GenAI.
- Understanding of data complexities and strategies to resolve them using Hyperscaler & proprietary platforms.
- Experience developing and executing data transformation services with a route to consumable AI.
- Knowledge of different AI disciplines and algorithms.
- Experience in consultancy engagements and value creation.
- Broad understanding of market demands in digital transformation and cross-industry challenges.
- Significant leadership experience in a customer-facing role.
- Extensive experience managing senior stakeholder relationships internally and with clients.
- Experience establishing a new function and team within a company.
- Experience presenting at external keynote events.
