Location: Basingstoke β onsite 5 days a week (travel will be required to customer sites, including London).

As a Programme Director, you will contribute to this by taking responsibility for the improvement programme (Catalyst) for one of our major programmes delivering into the MOD, underpinned by the Fujitsu Core values and the Defence and National Security (DNS) Charter. This improvement programme is critically important to DNS and the customer and will have a high level of engagement from the senior leadership on both sides.
Your Role:
- Working with the Programme Director for the delivery of the overall programme, the scope of Catalyst Programme includes the accountability for a major improvement programme including:
- Establishing better financial control and turnaround of profit erosion
- Addressing customer dissatisfaction
- Improving workforce experience
- Establishing stable forecasted delivery
- Building Customer Relationships
- Managing risks, issues, conflicts and priorities
You will have ultimate accountability for the successful delivery of the Catalyst Programme and will have the full support of the Portfolio Delivery Director through the delivery of the improvement programme, managing key stakeholders to mutual benefit by ensuring that the programme goals are met by providing a motivation capacity that cannot be achieved at programme or project level.
You will own the overall delivery direction and vision in conjunction with the Programme Director and the MOD customer. You will lead a team, including leveraging the PMO to achieve business benefits for both the customer and Fujitsu DNS. You will be accountable for the effective management of the programme including, risks, issues, conflicts, priorities, resources, and communications. You will drive the delivery of the programme, managing key stakeholders to mutual benefit by ensuring that the programme goals are met.

- Provides strong leadership and guidance to programme and project teams as well as setting strategic direction and vision.
- Supports personal and professional development within programme team/s and wider community.
- Directs the management of the business and overall Portfolio risk. Ensures the production of effective mitigation plans and risk assessments so that timescales and overall Portfolio / programme / project costs are understood and underwritten by all the relevant stakeholders.
- Experienced Programme Manager (large complex programs and ideally at portfolio level)
- Strong senior customer / stakeholder management (internal / external)
- Strong governance and control (financial/risk/issues/dependency management)
- Finds solutions / thinks out of the box
- Strong communicator and experience with working under pressure
