The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
Your role will involve remotely managing a geographically diverse IPS/IDS, SSL decryption, and FPC solution as part of an established team. A large part of the role will be resolving faults escalated by our 2nd line engineers. There is also a requirement to implement service changes to the production environment. Additional responsibilities include providing continuity between an established 3rd Line Team and the 24/7 support team, producing how-to guides, and liaising with other dependent parties.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A proven track record as a Network engineer in an operational environment.
- A broad range of technical skills across an enterprise environment, ideally including Cisco Firepower configuration, management of F5 devices, and experience configuring multiple traffic flows through a single device.
- Self-motivation with the ability to identify improvements for processes and best practices, with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Ability to work well within a team and develop positive working relationships with other resolver teams throughout the organization.
- Good and clear communication skills when interacting with peers, management, other resolver teams, and customers.
- Excellent attention to detail.
