Location: Basingstoke β regular travel to both customer and Fujitsu sites. Our purpose is to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. As a Site WAN Architect, you will contribute to this by working collaboratively in the project delivery team, designing and delivering medium to large network solutions that enable cost-effective services for our customers.
We are seeking a Site WAN Architect to work on delivery opportunities within the secure Defence and National Security sector. Your role will involve providing technical leadership within projects, understanding business and technical requirements, producing design documentation, passing governance reviews, and ensuring effective technical delivery of solutions.
Your experience:
- Demonstrable experience understanding customer business and technical requirements, producing solid network solutions.
- Design experience proposing and utilizing technologies from multiple global network vendors (e.g., Cisco and Juniper), including producing quality technical documentation.
- Strong technical networking knowledge with recognized certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA-Design or JNCIA-Junos.
- Ability to create non-standard solutions involving LAN, WAN, WiFi, VPN, Voice, Video, Cyber, and Security technologies, liaising with cross-responsibility teams.
- Solid understanding of the project lifecycle from requirements gathering to Operational Acceptance, with good commercial and financial awareness.
- Support project and programme management with reporting to ensure timely delivery that meets customer expectations.
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, ability to take ownership, responsibility, and make quick decisions, communicating clearly and calmly with customers.
- Ideally, previous experience working within the UK defence sector.
- This role requires willingness and eligibility to undergo high-level security clearance.
