The SAFe Agile Engineering Process Lead is responsible for guiding engineering teams in adopting and optimising processes aligned with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) while ensuring seamless collaboration with the ITIL Service Management function. You will be working on a complex infrastructure project and be part of a collaborative supplier and customer partnership, helping to design, develop, and implement good engineering practices that dovetail into service processes.
This role ensures engineering practices support agility and quality while also integrating with ITIL processes to maintain operational stability, compliance, and service excellence. You will work with stakeholders, calling on your experience to develop both interim and strategic engineering processes and be able to communicate new or updated working practices to engineering teams and customer stakeholders. The role will be onsite with no opportunity to work from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement engineering workflows that align with SAFe Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and implemented ITIL Service Management practices.
- Ensure engineering activities (design, development, testing, deployment) comply with ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management and adhere to security policy.
- Act as a bridge between engineering and ITIL teams to balance agility with operational management.
Qualities:
- Excellent stakeholder management.
- Experience in infrastructure design and enterprise architecture modelling.
- Technical background covering cloud infrastructure platforms and workplace service and operations management.
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Management and operational maintenance of high availability systems.
- Knowledge of UML and Systems Engineering modelling practices and tooling.
