Are you engineering focused with a technical background, with a keen understanding of how to engineer IT services from inception through to deployment? Can you support the delivery of automation, tooling, process and governance to enable our programme to deliver at pace with high quality outcomes? Do you want to make an impact and change the way the world works? Do you want to collaborate and achieve together with committed people to the safety and security of the UK?
We are looking for an Engineering Architect to enable our programme to deliver technical outcomes. Your role will involve working with a customer led team supporting our scrum teams to define, build, test and deploy services in the right way.
We need someone with a technical background but who understand engineering, someone who has the ability to guide us from ideation through to delivery of products to production. You need to be able to govern and guide our teams to make sure they do things in the right way, whilst delivering tooling and automation to enable teams.
This is a key role that forms part of the customer Design Authority. Strong engineering rigor and automation are key to allowing us to deliver on our commitments in the right way and this role is crucial to achieving that.
Your experience
- Technical background, perhaps you were a developer or integrator previously
- Customer engagement, the ability to work with and guide/inform customers
- Automation first, being a driver for automation across the programme
- Efficient mindset, understanding that governance needs to be right sized
- Flexible, engineering covers the full lifecycle so you must be wiling to turn your hand to all aspects
- Approachable, you have to be able to drive the adoption of automation
Please note, candidates will be required to undergo a high level of security clearance necessary for this role and must be willing and eligible to do so.
