Senior Test Specialist

Basingstoke – fully on site. Our purpose is to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. Your role will involve:

• Analyse requirements, both explicit and derived.
• Create and execute tests, test cases and test scenarios as required based on those requirements.
• Test reporting and raising defects as required.
• Contribute directly to stakeholder meetings/gatherings/stand‑ups both scheduled and ad‑hoc.
• Work efficiently and effectively in and across small teams, as part of a wider delivery Programme.
• Undertake activities as required that are not typically regarded as testing activities e.g. contributing to design writing or integration tasks.
• Escalate any issues/blockers/problems in a timely manner to Team Lead.
• Ability to focus on specific items for defined periods and then move onto the next.
• Be able to respond dynamically to fluid/changing requirements and constraints.
• Be able to communicate and articulate clearly and efficiently.
• Account to the Test Lead.
• Experience of working in a secure environment.

Your transferable skills and experience:

• Familiarity with Cloud solutions, virtualisation technologies and SDN.
• Enterprise tooling such as SIEM, Anti-Malware, System Monitoring and Alerting.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and GPOs.
• Understanding of PKI/Cryptography.
• Understanding/Experience of network devices and concepts such as switches, routers and firewalls (physical and virtual).
• Familiarity with non-functional requirements such as security, resilience and performance.
• Experience with testing and test management principles and tooling.
