Our purpose is to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. As a Lead Service Architect, you will contribute to this by enabling innovation to be dependable, inclusive and produce sustainable services – services that work for people, endure over time and strengthen the institutions that rely on them.
Your role will involve:
- Service strategy & design: Own the service architecture for complex programmes, producing integrated designs (operating model, processes, tooling, service catalogue, SLAs/XLAs, RACI) and ensuring alignment to customer outcomes and contractual commitments. Map requirements to ITIL® practices (e.g., Design & Transition, Service Desk, Incident/Problem, Change Enablement, Service Level, Availability, Capacity) within the Service Value Chain. Define tactical and future-state operating and governance models, including service acceptance criteria, early life support (ELS), and continual improvement baselines.
- Assurance & governance: Lead service design authorities; provide technical/service assurance, risk/RAID management (incl. SPOFs), and cost/run-rate inputs to solution models. Apply leadership where appropriate, set policies/standards for service architecture in alignment with Fujitsu best practice, ensure reuse, manage design exceptions, and define migration paths from current to target service states.
- Transition & readiness: Orchestrate operational and/or service readiness (ORR/SRR), test requirements flowing into integrated test plans, and acceptance into operations with clear measures/KPIs and knowledge transfer.
- Tooling & integration: Ensure ITSM tooling designs and integrations will meet all requirements (functional and non-functional). Leverage Fujitsu’s Elite/Gold partner capabilities and public-sector delivery track record where appropriate.
- Stakeholder leadership: Act as trusted adviser to senior customer stakeholders; align service architecture with security, compliance, and sector requirements; influence solution trade‑offs for operability and cost.
Your transferable skills and experience:
- Service architecture/management with responsibility for end‑to‑end service design into live service on medium–high complexity engagements (public sector experience advantageous).
- Proven leadership of service operating model design, service catalogue, SLA/XLA definition, and transition to live including ELS and service acceptance.
- Demonstrable experience governing RAID for services and feeding run cost elements into solution models.
- Strong service management best practice application across practices, integrating Agile/DevOps ways of working.
You must be willing and eligible to undergo security clearance for this position. Please note it’s still worth applying even if you do not meet all the requirements above. We are passionate about investing in you and your career and if you have the transferable skills/background in Service Management and ability to gain clearance, this could be the next opportunity for you.
Your benefits:
- 26 Days annual leave plus public holidays (3 flexible)
- Pension – Double matching contributions of up to 10%
- Life assurance
- Companywide incentive plans
- Your choices (Flexible benefits such as increased holidays/travel/dental critical illness and more)
- Perks at work – employee discounts
- Employee assistance programme/virtual GP
- Role dependent benefits: Private medical/company car or car allowance
