The purpose of the Installation Design Authority (IDA) is to support the production, approval and delivery of technical design solutions across numerous Projects and Programmes, ensuring conformance to both industry and Projects standards.

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Conduct technical site surveys.
  • Develop system and infrastructure site designs.
  • Application of the Project's Engineering Change Request (ECR) process.
  • Application of the Projects JSP453, ICT Installation Standard.
  • Formal approval of Fujitsu Design Proposal (DP) documentation.
  • Formal approval of Fujitsu As Fitted (AF) documentation.
  • Design guidance and consultancy to Customer Service Architects (CSA).
  • Conduct installation compliance and signoff site inspections.
  • Technical guidance and support to Fujitsu Project Managers (PM), Regional Customer Liaison Officers (CLO), Secure Engineering (SE) or others as applicable.
  • Technical guidance and consultancy to Project Customers.
  • Technical guidance and consultancy to Fujitsu and Project 3rd Party Contractors.
  • Manage and maintain all formal ECR, DP and AF documentation.

A full UK car driving licence is required. Main site location is Wakefield, but you must be able to work and travel around Scotland. You must be willing and eligible to undergo Orange security clearance for this position.

Qualifications:

You will need to have a good understanding of the following:

  • The regulations for the Projects Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Installation Standard and Information Security (InfoSec) requirements, as defined in JSP453 (Project ICT Installation Standard) and JSP440; CIDA Governance.
  • Notice & Advice Notes, AMSG 719, CESG Memos and TEMPEST installation design criteria.
  • Structured cabling systems including containment installation practices and test procedures.
  • Computer network installation topology and hardware; LANs (particularly Ethernet and its derivatives); WANs.
  • Cryptographic equipment & related connectivity parameters.
  • Electrical and Environmental standards (BS, EN) relating to network equipment rooms, cable pathways and desktop user locations.
  • SCIDA Accredited.
