Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor security tools, logs and alerts for suspicious activity using SIEM, EDR and network monitoring systems.
- Investigate and analyse security events and incidents to determine their nature, impact and root cause.
- Produce clear and concise reporting on security events, incidents and trends using ITSM toolsets to stakeholders.
- Work closely with other security teams, IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure effective security operations and communication.
- Continuously learn by staying up to date on the latest threats, vulnerabilities and best practices.
Shift Details:
This is a shift‑based role requiring nights, days and weekends. Shift allowance will be provided.
Requirements:
- All candidates must live within a commutable distance from Warrington.
Transferable Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a SOC Analyst or similar security role.
- Strong understanding of security concepts and attacker techniques, including network, endpoint, cloud security and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
