The Offerings Lead Architect is a Product Management role that is responsible for defining the offerings, vision, strategy, and roadmap for each of the offering areas, which supports our Go to Market strategy and provides an identity for us in the market. They are responsible for ensuring each of the offering areas aligns with business objectives (including our Growth and Delivery pipeline) and in turn provides the business detailed insight into the skills, experience and portfolio development required to meet these business objectives. By acting as a bridge between various parts of the business (Growth, Operation, Delivery, Marketing) they can ensure each of the offerings delivers value to Fujitsu and its customers.

Your role will involve:

  • The role holder should have business experience and excellent technical knowledge, with the ability to influence, support and advise our Growth, CDO, Delivery, and Operations teams as well as engage with senior customers and industry.
  • This is an internal & external facing role, working cross functionally across Fujitsu organisations and also with interaction directly with our customers and vendors.
  • The Offerings Lead Architect should be able to identify trends, themes and needs from our customers and industry, defining a roadmap to enable delivery of capability providing market leading services to exceed customer expectations.
  • They must be able to leverage an ecosystem of partners and suppliers, understanding that the best capability is provided through co-creation with our partners and customers.
  • They will own the full product lifecycle from ideation through to delivery, including the customer feedback loop.
  • A critical element of this role is building a strategy and vision that takes our teams as well as our stakeholders on a journey, defining how we will deliver transformative capability to ourselves and our customers.

Responsibilities and experience:

  • Operations and Compliance
    • Defines and supports the execution of the Offerings strategy and roadmap including market and competitive analysis as well as alignment to customer needs, industry trends and Fujitsu strategy.
    • Prioritises development of offerings in the roadmap to deliver business value.
    • Measures and reports on Fujitsu’s capability to deliver in alignment with Offerings strategy and roadmap.
    • Determines the strategy, product selection and direction for each offering, which supports the delivery of each offering area technical roadmap.
    • Ensures that the strategies for product are in line with evolving industry best practice to enable cost effective and reliable delivery in line with corporate processes.
    • Supports Growth to produce technical proposals that ensure proposed solutions align with product strategies/customer needs and drive efficiencies.
    • Drives innovation through the roadmap, demonstrating our ability to deliver innovative products to the market.
    • Enables cross-functional collaboration working closely with engineering, design, marketing, and growth to ensure products meet customer needs and business objectives.
    • Review tooling regularly to enable delivery efficiencies.
    • Supports the delivery of the Mid Term Plan by identifying skills requirements which feed into the SWP, collaborating with Portfolio or relevant parts of the business to forecast funding required for offering development, and forecasting the funding required to support the Offerings team.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Works with our customers to understand their needs, mapping to the product roadmap.
    • Works with our vendor ecosystem to highlight Fujitsu capability to drive vendor led opportunities.
    • Owns the relationship with Growth, translating demand into deliverable products.
    • Works closely with the CDO and Delivery Technical Leads to ensure understanding, alignment and execution of product strategy and coherence across the business.
    • Works closely with Marketing on production of marketing plans for products, supporting our Go To Market Strategy.
    • Responsible for providing guidance to Operations and informing the Strategic Workforce Plan (SWP) on appropriate training to align to a product roadmap.
    • Crafts an identity for Fujitsu through the offering areas, both internally and externally to inspire our teams and our customers.
    • Enables the Operations and Delivery to have awareness of the product roadmap for strategic alignment for skills mapping.
    • Communicates the impact of emerging technologies, innovation and customer or market trends to all stakeholders.
    • Drives demonstrable continuous improvement across the product portfolio.
    • Acts as an ‘agent of change and challenge’, identifying areas for improvement and driving change achieving measurable improvements in quality or cost.
    • Challenges the status quo, enabling new ways of working and innovative approaches to solving problems.
    • Reports in a data driven way on improvements across the offering area.
  • Lead
    • Acts as a role model, providing thought leadership and cutting-edge technical and business vision.
    • Provides coaching, leadership, direction and performance feedback with a focus on growing product knowledge and expertise.
    • Is the ‘go-to’ person for all matters related to the offering area and for our customers to answer questions relating to the offerings they consume, providing advice and guidance in the offering area.
    • Operates as a key interface with other stakeholder groups within and beyond e.g. Functions, Marketing, Business Operations, Growth, Uvance, DDAC etc.
