Your role

We are seeking an experienced Programme Planner to be responsible for coordinating and planning all work across a large Account. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning within a large programme or across several projects, project management methodologies, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive Level 0 project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, in collaboration with the Project Managers and other key stakeholders (eg Programme Manager).
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure that all project tasks are tracked with any updates completed in a timely manner.
  • Manage the transition from current plans and ways of working into the use of project web on a daily basis across 40 projects within the portfolio.
  • Act as a champion for Project Web across the account and provide guidance to PM’s regarding how to structure their plans to obtain the best results from Project Web.
  • Identify and escalate any conflicts or issues in project plans that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Support the conduct of risk assessments and help highlight mitigation strategies to minimise project risks against the project plans.
  • Review the project highlight reports (PHRs) to ascertain progress against the project plans and elevate risks & issues to the Programme Manager on a regular basis.
  • If requested to, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including architects, engineers, etc. to ensure project success.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members to ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as an IT Programme Planner or in a similar role.
  • Detailed working knowledge of Project Web as a planner in a portfolio role.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
