We’re looking for experienced ROV Supervisors to join our offshore team at Fugro, where safety, teamwork, and innovation are at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you’ll lead offshore ROV operations, manage subsea teams, and ensure seamless communication with project managers, clients, and vessel personnel. You’ll work across a varied mix of projects throughout the UK, the North Sea, wider Europe, and parts of Africa, covering workscopes such as renewables, oil and gas, survey operations, light construction, and drill‑support activities. Your leadership will be key in conducting toolbox talks, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring all subsea tasks are carried out to the highest standards. You’ll work closely with Surveyors and Engineers to keep ROV equipment running smoothly and data flowing accurately. If you're ready to take on diverse subsea engineering projects and thrive in a dynamic offshore environment, this is your opportunity.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Manage the offshore team and oversee all subsea operations, maintenance tasks, and project planning activities.
  • Supervise and perform maintenance and fault‑finding on Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) systems, associated equipment, and tooling.
  • Lead and guide personnel in piloting tasks and the use of robotic arms for subsea operations.
  • Oversee the safe launch and recovery of the ROV system, ensuring efficient and compliant offshore operations.
  • Foster strong teamwork by mentoring and assessing team members, and maintaining clear communication with offshore personnel, clients, and onshore managers.
  • Collaborate with company personnel to execute subsea tasks in line with project requirements managed by the Project Management Team and Service Line leadership.
  • Maintain a proactive attitude towards Health, Safety and Environmental practices, working in line with Fugro’s safety standards and core values.
  • Promote company safety initiatives and ensure all safety‑related documentation is completed accurately and on time.

What you’ll need to thrive in this role

  • Previous experience working as an ROV Supervisor at offshore worksites.
  • In‑depth knowledge of mobilisation, operation, and fault‑finding procedures for both work‑class ROVs and observation‑class (eyeball) ROVs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills in an offshore environment.
  • Strong safety awareness, consistently working to the highest standards in line with the company’s Safety Management System.
  • Effective communicator, especially in emergency situations, with the ability to coordinate well with team members.
  • Proactive in understanding and contributing to project work scopes to meet client expectations.
  • Willingness to mentor and guide Pilot Technicians, ensuring all tasks are performed according to company standards.
  • Willingness to work on both vessels and platforms.
