At Fugro we are looking for a dynamic Procurement and Supply Chain UK Manager who is ready to elevate the future of our UK operations. This is a role for a leader who thrives on challenge and knows how to turn complexity into progress. You will bring strong supply chain expertise, proven senior experience and the confidence to lead teams in demanding environments. With practical knowledge of source to contract and purchase to pay processes, a solid grasp of import and export requirements and the ability to operate in industrial settings, you will drive smarter ways of working that boost efficiency, control costs and support a strong cash flow. Your communication skills, focus on outcomes and ability to build trust will help align our teams with Fugro's longâterm ambitions.
As a key member of the Country Functional Leadership Team you will help deliver our "Towards Full Potential" programme, strengthening shared service centres, improving collaboration and raising performance across the UK. Success will come from being a collaborative and forwardâlooking leader who supports change, develops people and builds strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers. With a clientâfocused mindset and a practical approach to problem solving, you will influence transformation at scale, create meaningful partnerships across the business and lead a function that plays a central role in Fugro's continued success.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Lead the National Strategy by guiding the UK-wide Procurement and Supply Chain function, aligning operations with Fugro's strategic goals.
- Support Organisational Transformation, leading the implementation of the "Towards Full Potential" programme, enhancing procure to pay shared service centres and stakeholder collaboration.
- Oversee Shared Service Centres, managing procurement operations across four UK locations (Wallingford, Aberdeen, Portchester, Falmouth), ensuring coordinated and effective team leadership.
- Advance Strategic Sourcing & Contract Management, leading initiatives that deliver value, manage costs, and support financial performance.
- Manage Vendor & Contractor Relationships, applying structured approaches to thirdâparty management to ensure quality, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Build Stakeholder & Supplier Partnerships, developing collaborative relationships to identify opportunities, assess risks, and drive continuous improvement.
- Leverage Technology, working with regional teams to adopt innovative procurement tools and strengthen supply chain resilience.
- Promote QHSSE Standards, ensuring adherence to quality, health, safety, sustainability, and environmental practices.
- Track and Communicate Value, using performance metrics to demonstrate the impact of procurement and supply chain initiatives.
- Contribute to Regional Transformation, partnering with the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to implement ERP systems and standardise service offerings across the region.
What you'll need to thrive in this role:
- A degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role in Procurement and/or Supply Chain.
- NEVI/CIPS or other relevant certifications are desirable but not essential.
- Strong understanding of Source-to-Contract and Purchase-to-Pay processes.
- Good working knowledge of Import/export/customs.
- Experience in operational or industrial sectors, ideally with international or complex environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
