You will collaborate closely with commercial teams, technical specialists and senior stakeholders to create compelling propositions and increase our market presence.

You’ll join a supportive, expert team that values initiative, curiosity and collaboration — and where your contributions will directly support Fugro’s ambitious growth targets and commitment to creating a safer, more sustainable built environment.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain long-standing, trusted client relationships with early engagement across the construction and infrastructure project lifecycle.
- Identify, develop and grow business opportunities across ground investigation, near-surface geophysics, pile testing and instrumentation & monitoring within the UK and EUAF region.
- Analyse market trends, competitor intelligence and sector developments to guide commercial decisions and shape strategic growth.
- Influence project scope, specifications, risk and commercial structures to position Fugro as a preferred partner.
- Lead or support proposal development, including reviewing ITTs, coordinating bids and conducting bid/no-bid analysis.
- Prepare and present technical and commercial tender handover packages to project managers for smooth project mobilisation.
- Collaborate with commercial, technical and project delivery teams to align client needs with Fugro’s capabilities.
- Represent Fugro at industry events, networks and seminars to promote our integrated Geo-data solutions.
- Support annual market and competitor reviews to enhance win rates and long-term planning.
- Ensure consistent use of CRM tools (Avalon) to manage opportunities, improve forecasting and enhance commercial performance.
- Promote HSSE culture through active participation in safety programmes and safe working practices.
What You’ll Need to Thrive in This Role:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively and confidently with clients across the UK civils and infrastructure sector.
- A solid network and understanding of client needs, risks and challenges within ground investigation, geophysics, piling and monitoring.
- Technical knowledge of instrumentation and monitoring, pile testing, near-surface geophysics and GI workflows.
- Experience developing and executing business development plans, preferably within the Geo-data, geospatial, or construction industries.
- Proven ability to identify market opportunities, analyse trends and understand competitor positioning.
- Experience using CRM tools (ideally Avalon/MS Dynamics) and managing opportunity pipelines.
- Strong organisational capabilities, including leading proposal development and coordinating tender submissions.
- Experience influencing project specifications and shaping value-adding commercial solutions.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to work across matrix teams and engage subject matter experts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Civil Engineering, Geodesy, or a related discipline (BSc/BEng).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A motivated, solutions-focused approach and ability to work independently while embracing “One Fugro” culture.
