About Us
FuelQ is rebuilding the UK fuel card from the ground up. Traditional providers hide markups, slow-walk approvals, and run on infrastructure built for the 1990s. We show customers the pump price, the card price, and their saving, before they fill up. No hidden fees, no fine print, no nonsense. You'd join a small, senior team building something genuinely new in a category that's been asleep for two decades.
The role
- Own FuelQ's content engine and lifecycle marketing.
- Feed the funnel: Build a consistent content rhythm across LinkedIn (founder-led and company page) and email that brings SME fleet decision-makers into the application flow.
- Recapture and reactivate: Build the Klaviyo flows that win back stalled applications, declined leads, and dormant customers — currently a major untapped revenue source.
You’ll work directly with the CEO and Head of Customer Engagement. No committees, no agencies to manage, no layers. Ship work, see the impact, iterate.
What you’ll do
- Develop and own FuelQ's SME tone of voice across email, LinkedIn, ads, and site copy.
- Build and run weekly LinkedIn content — founder posts, company page, transparency-led thought leadership.
- Own Klaviyo end-to-end: welcome, application abandonment, declined-app reactivation, dormant win-back, transaction nurture.
- Write LinkedIn and Google ad copy; brief and iterate with whoever runs paid.
- Build retargeting flows for the applications that don’t approve first time.
Must have
- 4+ years B2B marketing, ideally SME-focused.
- Hands-on Klaviyo — flow building, segmentation, A/B testing, deliverability.
- Proven copywriter — you’ll share work you’ve personally written.
- Comfort working with founders, shipping fast, owning outcomes.
Nice to have
- Fintech, payments, fleet, automotive, or other regulated industry experience.
- HubSpot or similar CRM alongside Klaviyo.
- Track record growing a personal or founder LinkedIn presence.
What success looks like (first 6 months)
- Weekly business applications: 24 → 40.
- Declined/stalled application reactivation rate: baseline → 15%.
- Email-attributed applications and revenue trending up month-on-month.
- LinkedIn company page followers and inbound conversations growing.
To apply
Send your CV plus two things:
- A LinkedIn post or short-form piece you’ve personally written that you’re proud of.
- A Klaviyo flow (screenshots fine) you built and the result it drove.
Applications without those two are unlikely to move forward, we want to see the work, not just the CV.
