The opportunity

Are you a proven B2B salesperson who can open doors within large organisations, engage senior decision-makers and turn operational challenges into commercially compelling solutions? Can you clearly demonstrate the new business you have personally identified, developed and closed?

Insite is the UK’s leading provider of logistics and workforce training solutions, helping major employers build safer, more capable and compliant teams through centrally managed training programmes. Insite is now looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to develop new relationships with national and multi-site organisations across logistics, transport, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, retail distribution and other fleet-led sectors. You will work consultatively with clients to understand their workforce, training and compliance challenges, then design solutions that deliver measurable operational and commercial value.

Your current title might be:

  • Senior Business Development Manager
  • National Business Development Manager
  • Corporate Sales Manager
  • Account Director
  • Sales Manager

What matters is the level of organisations you have sold to, the complexity of the sales process and the results you have personally delivered.

What you will be doing

You will manage the complete new-business sales process, from identifying opportunities and opening conversations through to proposal, negotiation and close. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying new business opportunities with large, national and multi-site organisations.
  • Building relationships with senior stakeholders across Operations, Transport, Fleet, HR, Learning and Development, Procurement and Health and Safety.
  • Understanding each client's workforce, compliance and operational challenges.
  • Designing tailored training solutions aligned with the client's commercial objectives.
  • Communicating the financial and operational value of Insite's services.
  • Building credible business cases and presenting them to senior decision-makers.
  • Managing complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Producing proposals, negotiating terms and closing new business.
  • Building and maintaining a high-quality pipeline within Salesforce.
  • Delivering accurate forecasts against quarterly and annual targets.
  • Working with Client Success and Operations to ensure successful implementation.
  • Developing the commercial potential of the client relationships you win.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an established B2B new-business professional with a strong record of consultative or solution-led selling. You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Consistent achievement against individual sales targets.
  • New business that you personally identified, developed and closed.
  • Experience selling services or solutions to larger organisations.
  • Confidence engaging senior operational, commercial and board-level decision-makers.
  • Experience managing longer sales cycles involving several stakeholders.
  • The ability to understand a client's problem and build a commercially credible solution.
  • Strong prospecting skills and the ability to create your own pipeline.
  • Experience presenting proposals, handling objections and negotiating agreements.
  • The ability to communicate commercial value, cost savings and return on investment.
  • A disciplined approach to CRM management, pipeline control and forecasting.
  • Experience within logistics, transport, corporate training, workforce development, construction, manufacturing, electronics, compliance, recruitment, fleet services or industrial services would be valuable.
  • Direct training-sector experience is not essential. The ability to win complex, high-value B2B business is more important than one particular industry background.

Why join Insite?

This is an opportunity to sell an established, market-leading solution in a sector where employers are placing increasing importance on workforce capability, safety and compliance.

In return, Insite offers:

  • A basic salary of £50,000 - £60,000, dependent on experience.
  • Uncapped commission.
  • A realistic first-year OTE of £80,000 - £90,000.
  • The opportunity to earn beyond the stated OTE through over performance.
  • Hybrid working, with three fixed office days in London NW5.
  • An established and credible proposition to take to market.
  • Support from experienced Client Success and Operations teams.
  • The opportunity to build long-term relationships with major national clients.
  • A high-impact role with a direct influence on continued business growth.
