Job Introduction

As the IT Security Specialist you will work closely with multiple departments across TGW Northern Europe to ensure all responsibilities of the role are met. By maintaining compliance with security standards and implementing robust security measures, you will protect critical systems and enhance customer confidence.

Success in this position will drive sustainability through secure operations, support sales growth by addressing IT security needs, and contribute to the overall resilience and quality of TGW\’s IT infrastructure.

You will be the first Security Specialist we\’ve hired in Northern Europe, giving you an opportunity to mold the role and help push the department forward. You will be spending your time initially working with our group IT team in Austria before getting stuck into your role across the UK, Benelux and Nordics.

What You\’ll Be Handling

  1. Implement information security services locally in alignment with group standards
  2. Monitor compliance with security policies and report on KPIs
  3. Serve as the local representative for the Information Security Council and Group Information Security Officer
  4. Report to the Information Security Council, CC Information Security, and local management
  5. Support infrastructure updates (network and hardware) and software security patches
  6. Respond to internal and customer incidents or security breaches as needed
  7. Contribute as a member of the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan team
  8. Participate as a member of the TGW Global Information Security Team
  9. Process vulnerability assessments and audit reports
  10. Act as the first point of contact for local departments on security matters
  11. Handle customer IT security questionnaires and attend security-related appointments
  12. Oversee operational activities related to internal information security
  13. Develop, implement, and maintain new security policies
  14. Provide support for customer activities, ensuring security standards are upheld
  15. Maintain accurate documentation of all security-related processes and actions

Essential

What you\’ll need

  1. Qualification in an IT related field
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, networks, applications, and cloud solutions
  3. Experience in the delivery of secure IT solutions to multiple customers
  4. Experience or proven record in the management of internal IT security

Desirable

  1. Certifications in the security environment (CISA, CRISC, CISSP) or ITIL.
  2. Familiarity with industry-specific security standards and compliance requirements.
  3. Knowledge of additional programming or scripting languages.
  4. Understanding of data protection regulations and practices
